Image quality, filenames, and carousel downloads
An Instagram photo download preserves the dimensions of the selected public media source; it does not reverse platform compression or restore metadata removed during publishing. The downloaded image may therefore be smaller than the creator's camera file and may not contain original EXIF details. If you need a print-quality master, color-managed asset, or proof of authorship, request the original directly from its owner.
Carousels require more care than single photos because they can mix aspect ratios and media types. GrabSilo keeps items separate and ordered so the first, second, and later slides remain identifiable. A ZIP is a convenience package, not a new image format: opening it reveals the individual available files. Large carousels can take longer because each authorized image must be fetched before the archive is ready.
Temporary media delivery links are not permanent citations. Keep the Instagram permalink with your records when source attribution or later verification matters.
